Recycled Plastic + Organic Cotton
Conventional cotton uses more chemicals to grow than any other single major crop. 5 of the top 9 pesticides used on cotton are cancer-causing. Our organic cotton is 100% pesticide-free, herbicide-free, and GMO-free. Repurposing plastic bottles decreases our dependence on oil as a raw material source. Unlike polyester, recycled polyester uses PET as the raw material. This is the same material that is used in clear plastic water bottles, and recycling it to create the fabric prevents it from going to landfill.

Consciously made in California.
Many brands and retailers think they know where their products are being made. The reality is much of the work is being subcontracted, making monitoring next to impossible. The end consumer doesn't know what their purchase is actually supporting. It’s easy to turn a blind eye to unfair conditions overseas, but they are often supporting much worse, including human trafficking and child labor. We manufacture in our California facility to ensure our standards and values are fully executed. Vertically-integrated, local and traceable production maximizes quality, efficiency and employee pay, and minimizes redundancy waste, and our carbon footprint.
Low impact dyes + Water-based printing.
The chemicals used to produce dyes today are often highly toxic, carcinogenic, or even explosive. Harmful chemicals used in the dying process include dioxin – a carcinogen and possible hormone disrupter. Toxic heavy metals such as chrome, copper, and zinc – known carcinogens; and Formaldehyde, a suspected carcinogen. We don't use these harsh dyes. Plastic can also hide on your clothes in the form of plastisol. Plastisol is what most brands use to screen print. Plastisol is a suspension of PVC particles in a liquid plasticizer. From both an environmental and health standpoint, PVC is the most toxic plastic. We don't use plastisol.
